Bob Tranchell is a knowledgeable and community-focused reverse mortgage professional. Working exclusively in the HECM industry for the past 23 years, he established himself as an industry expert excelling at sharing the value of home equity retirement planning. Education has always been the hallmark of his career, where he has developed curriculum for CFPs, CPAs, and Realtors, and has taught hundreds of professionals the value of using HECMs in retirement planning. 

Bob is deeply involved in supporting the senior community through education and service. He volunteers with WeCan’s Financial Empowerment program, where he provides one-on-one counseling in budgeting, debt management, and financial awareness, and also teaches a dedicated workshop on housing finance for seniors. In addition, he regularly teaches classes on mortgage options for older homeowners at local senior centers, including recent sessions at the Saltmarsh Senior Center on Nantucket. Bob also enjoys bringing joy to senior living communities by performing classic standards, Broadway favorites, and seasonal songs at assisted living facilities such as Allerton House in Hingham, Massachusetts.

As a retirement planning professional, Bob holds the RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) designation from The American College of Financial Services. This advanced credential reflects his expertise in key areas of retirement strategy, including Social Security planning, healthcare and long-term care considerations, estate and legacy strategies, tax-efficient income planning, investment solutions, and guiding retirees in making informed decisions about their home equity and financial resources.

Outside of his professional work, Bob enjoys life on Cape Cod, where he is an avid foodie and loves exploring new local restaurants. He is a member of the Green Pond Yacht Club and spends much of his free time riding e-bikes along scenic routes such as the Cape Cod Rail Trail, the Cape Cod Canal Bike Paths, and the Shining Sea Bikeway.

With his blend of financial expertise, commitment to community education, and genuine care for the people he serves, Bob Tranchell is dedicated to helping retirees understand their options and build financial confidence in retirement.
