Deborah Cerne is a Reverse Mortgage Specialist with over 19 years of experience in the reverse mortgage industry and a lifelong background in financial services. She is passionate about helping seniors find smart, sustainable ways to age in place with confidence and dignity. Her journey into reverse mortgages began with a personal story—one that continues to inspire her work today.
Years ago, Deborah witnessed her grandmother face a difficult financial crossroads after her grandfather suffered a stroke. With no income to qualify for a traditional mortgage or HELOC, her grandmother feared she would have to sell the only home she had ever owned. Deborah, then working as an operations manager at Merrill Lynch, was skeptical of reverse mortgages at first—but soon discovered it was the solution her family desperately needed. The reverse mortgage allowed her grandparents to stay in their home and gave her grandmother the financial breathing room she needed, even after her husband passed away.
That experience changed Deborah’s career path and gave her a mission: to educate seniors and their families about reverse mortgages and help them determine if this powerful tool is right for their needs.
Today, Deborah serves homeowners in California, Nevada, Texas, and Utah, bringing empathy, transparency, and decades of financial knowledge to every conversation. She is a lifetime member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association(CVMA), a group that supports local veterans, and she’s deeply committed to giving back to those who’ve served.
When she’s not helping clients, Deborah enjoys bike riding through Zion, traveling, and spending time with her close-knit family—including her five beautiful grandchildren, who remind her daily why supporting future generations starts with caring for our seniors.
