Jerry Garner grew up in North Carolina and after graduating from East Carolina University in 1992. With a business management degree, Jerry began his career in the financial services industry. During his time working in consumer finance, Jerry also got exposure to financial consulting and mortgage planning. Earning several leadership awards and qualifying for the top producing chairman’s club, he was recognized for his talent and became one of the youngest managers to be promoted to executive management of a fortune 500 company.

In 2003, Jerry made the decision to become a home mortgage consultant and is currently a reverse mortgage specialist — focusing solely on consulting senior homeowners. His success has continued as he consistently is recognized as a top producing consultant in the country.

Bringing many years of experience with him, Jerry decided it was time to join a company with a trusted brand that offers exquisite customer service — Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, which is also one of the top reverse mortgage lenders in the country. Mutual of Omaha Reverse Mortgage allows Jerry to continue to consult with homeowners and trusted advisors in an educational atmosphere.

Jerry is often asked to speak to financial groups as a federally licensed mortgage consultant. He has also worked to facilitate events that help promote the education of adult buyers, realtors, and financial advisors on housing wealth, how to age in place, and safely relocate in retirement.

Jerry lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife, Sally, and son, Hogan. When not working, Jerry enjoys spending time fishing in local waters or golfing with friends and family, and watching his son play baseball at the College of Charleston.

Jerry is a member of the Charleston Association of Realtors and the National Association of Insurance Advisors.
