About Me

Brent is a Reverse Mortgage Specialist, primarily serving Bloomington-Normal, IL and Central Illinois area.

Brent has been in the mortgage industry for over 15 years, entering just prior to the Housing Crash of 2008.  Therefore, he learned the business in a highly volatile environment with significantly intensified regulatory scrutiny.  Prior to pivoting to Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, Brent worked with regulated depositories and financial institutions and their loan originators nationally.  He handled thousands of loans and taught hundreds of loan product overviews for the institutions’ loan originators and operations teams.  He was the primary resource for scenarios, if issues surfaced, or a loan needed to be restructured.  Also, he served as a loan officer, working directly with residential borrowers.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) cum laude, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  Brent also has held an Illinois Real Estate Broker license for 20 years and transitioned to Managing Broker license in 2012.  He served as co-managing broker for a 100 agent, $300mm real estate office for five years and has a deep understanding of the REALTOR® relationship during the home buying process.  He also holds Illinois Associate Real Estate Appraiser as well as Mortgage Loan Originator licenses.

He and his wife, Linda, have five children, Corey, Andy, Alex, Tommy, and Megan and their wonderful Doberman, Meeka.
