A demonstrated ability to enhance the lifestyle of retiree’s through responsible use of a (HECM) “Home Equity Conversion Mortgage” more widely known as a reverse mortgage, as a retirement income planning strategy. Many of the leading financial planners are now embracing the use of this new reverse mortgage much earlier in the retirement strategy in order to “protect” ones retirement portfolio. It’s no longer used as an option of last resort, but best incorporated early into the retirement strategy as a portfolio protection tool.
